Photos Of PHILIP ANSELMO Performing With EYEHATEGOD Posted Online
August 16, 2005Several photos of former PANTERA and current SUPERJOINT RITUAL/DOWN frontman Philip Anselmo playing rhythm guitar for New Orleans sludge-metal merchants EYEHATEGOD at CBGB in New York Monday night (August 15) have been posted online at this location. The concert marked Anselmo's first public appearance since the murder of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) and Philip appeared to be "healthy, upbeat, and in a great mood," according to a BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor who attended the gig. "He was mingling with the crowd and very outgoing."
Before launching into their set, the band shared a joint onstage and Anselmo took the microphone, dedicating the performance to his "brother, Dimebag Darrell," according to Billboard.com.
Anselmo didn't sing during the the group's one-hour set, which reprotedly favored songs from their 1993 sophomore album, "Take As Needed for Pain".
